Favorite 2023 NFL Draft Classes

Jon picks his five favorite classes from the 2023 draft, including a couple player-team fits that stand out.

Philadelphia Eagles

Everyone is putting the Eagles as the best class, but it’s hard to disagree. Philadelphia added two of my top 25 players on my board in Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. Carter is the most talented player in this class, but an admitted risk due to the character concerns. If the Eagles had traded up to No. 3 for him, I might not have been as kind in my analysis. But Philly completely lucked out only having to move up one spot for Carter. Just incredible value at that spot.

Smith gives them another edge pass rusher, which is huge because they only have *checks notes* four other edge guys that they trust? This is the deepest room in the league, with Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat leading the way, but Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett providing quality snaps as well. Barnett could be traded at some point if Smith flashes early.
