Best Traits/Abilities
• One of the best blitzing defensive backs in college ball. Timing, paths to the ball, block avoidance, speed to close down quarterbacks, physicality. If he was a little better finisher he would have had more than five sacks. Constant disruption
• Closes down everything in the flat and short passing game. Blows up screens, takes out blockers or dips under them to make a tackle attempt. Even when he isn’t able to finish, creates disruption that everyone else on the defense benefits from
• Good awareness in zone, keeps his head on a swivel and doesn’t get caught just defending grass. Processes routes and picks up players, gains depth when he needs to, re-routes players when he can. Eyes always working, from reading the quarterback to identifying potential threats.
• Created a bunch of turn-downs (quarterback wants to throw the ball to a target, but can’t because of Scott’s coverage) for opposing quarterbacks that created coverage sacks for Miami
