Scouting Notes
Three years at Louisiana-Lafayette, one year at Alabama, final year at Ole Miss. 2024 was the first season he played over 600 total snaps.
Amos has adequate effort and excellent discipline against the run. Consistently does his job to keep contain and turn runs back inside, even if he isn’t eager to stick his nose in the box where it may or may not be “needed”. He’s a drag down tackler rather than a striker, but he gets the job done, and physicality is not a concern. He’ll support the team concept, be aggressive when he needs to be and is rarely out of position.
Awareness in zone coverage is top notch. Sometimes needs more urgency to close down windows, but sees everything developing around him, passes route combinations off and deters throws because of sound positioning and technique. Will peel off routes to go make plays. Processing the whole picture isn’t too much to ask of him. Might be able to stick at safety if needed.
